Ever since her home island of Chyo in the East Blue was over run and destroyed by The Black Saw Pirates, Kanon was forced to work as a slave for their captain, "Black Saw" Hayate.
When and the rest of the crew turn up on the island, Kanon tries to get them to leave. When they refuse, Kanon is angered at their stupidity, but things start getting into the crews business when Nami is kidnapped by Hayate. With the help of Kanon form the inside Nami and her manage to escape with the rest of the crew.
